Good Ba Ba : One of the top contenders for Horse of the Year honours after five consecutive wins, including four in a row at Group One level, during the campaign. A tenacious victory in the Cathay Pacific Hong Kong Mile (G1) was followed by an easier success in the Citi Stewards' Cup (HKG1) and a somewhat fortunate Queen's Silver Jubilee Cup (HKG1) triumph. He was most impressive of all, however, winning the Champions Mile (G1) as he pleased. This victory ranked him the world's leading miler on a mark of 122 alongside Weekend Hussler from Australia. On 8 June he bids to become the first local horse to win five consecutive Gr.1 races in the same season, including three at international level, in the Yasuda Kinen (G1) and thereby earn a US$1m bonus for winning two legs of the Asian Mile Challenge.

With the horses that you have listed to vote for? It would be close for me between Good Ba Ba and Viva Pataca. Why is Collection or Super Pistachio not on the list to be voted for? They both started in Ireland and the UK. As a mater of fact, Super Pistachio used to be named Westphalia, if memory serves. But aren't they both Hong Kong horses now? Collection would get my #1 vote. Super Pistachio #2. And probably a tie between Good Ba Ba and Viva Pataca for #3. TJMO.

Darjina looked a little unlucky, but an excellent run from the winner. HK Mile this year is tough to call (Probably the 4 best, all 3 year olds, in the world not there.)

i voted for sacred kingdom but it looks like good ba ba is going to win even though he was well beaten in the yasuda kinen by vodka. honk kong has some top class horses like the two i mentioned and then others like viva pataca and packing winner. not forgetting the great absolute champion either, rip. i would love to see some of these horse come over to the uk or even better come to ireland.
