***Youtube wouldn't let me put this and the other part of part 1 together in the desciption because it was too long, so this is still part 1, it just had to be posted in another video (So if you're confused by the title, don't be)
My mother was running around our apartment, frantically looking for her shoe while placing her diamond earrings in each of her ears. Her one-heeled foot making a click, thud, click thud sound against the hard wood of the floor. "Nikki, sweetheart I'm going out for a business dinner tonight and your father is still on his business trip.
I sighed, my parents were such workaholics. They always left me home alone with my baby sister, Alyssa. I was probably the only child in all of New York state that was left alone in an apartment with a 14 month old, at the age of 8.
"So I'm going to need you to keep an eye on Alyssa for me again tonight," my mom finished, finding her shoe and slipping it on her foot. She leaned forward and kissed my cheek, leaving a maroon red sticky stain on my soft child-like cheek. I wiped it away immediately. "Good night sweetheart!" She called out and blew an air kiss.
I rolled my eyes and went over to check on Alyssa. With all the commotion going on she hadn't gotten fed super. I sighed. It wasn't right that I had to act like the mother.
I picked Alyssa up from her high chair, holding her at arm's length. I took her up the stairs to where my mom kept the spare groceries. After grabbing the necessary baby foods I took Alyssa back into my arms, holding her at arm's length again. She bit down on my wrist.
"AH! Alyssa! Ow, that hurt." I put Alyssa down and rubbed my throbbing wrist. My head started to pound and I got aggravated with Alyssa. I grabbed her around the waist and thrust her over the balcony. I watched as she started to squirm. I was being stupid and dangerous, but I was really mad. She bit me again, harder this time and I let go of her to rub my wrist, immediately regretting my decision.
I heard that high pitched scream as I saw my baby sister fall down, down, down. I was a murderer.
I shuddered, coming back from the flashback. I would have to get that squeak in the stairs fixed.
