Walk Away From Love

One of the hardest things in life is having words in your heart that you cannot utter. These words originate in the darkest, most fragile and unexplainable place in your soul, and in that place, the cradle of hopes and dreams, is where love is born. Love is just a word until someone comes along and gives it meaning. It can be at once beautiful and tragic, for the love that lasts the longest is the love that is never returned. It can break and destroy even the mightiest and wary of us. Why then do we love? Why do we repeatedly lend out our hearts, suspend our logic, doubt, and disbelief for faith in the idea that love is something far more divine and esoteric than mere chemical impulses in the brain, put our own stability on layaway and stumble endlessly within that uncertain darkness? Because, my friends, to know love is to know, beyond any doubt, that the most important thing in life is to learn how to give out love, and to let it come in.
