Here we have part 1 from a hidden gem from the early days of live British television. A version of George Orwell's classic story 1984. It stars Peter Cushing who was one of the giants of British horror films. Also featuring Donald Plesance who we remember as Ernest Strabo Blofeld from the James Bond film "You Only Live Twice" and as the doctor in the Halloween films.

'Down & Out' is a great read, as are his other more popular works.. but often those who find themselves in this position of awareness and speak out about it, are sadly, misinformants..

Well, I just know what Orwell himself said: yes, he was an insider, but the most he collected testimonies from Eastern Europeans, Soviet refugees, since Spanish Civil War. Then, Orwell take notes from that Russian disidents and because that, he knew more than British Government knew.
