Tracks is a very popular character in season 2. He's very vain because he's a Corvette. He's unofficially a Triple Changer. His alternate modes are a car and flying battle car, much like M.A.S.K. vehicles.
His car mode looks great, but he's all plastic. His lower legs has very solid, raw die cast metal parts which look great. If only his blue car housing was made from die cast metal, he was most certainly one of the most impressive Autobot cars out there. It's the blue plastic which makes him feel inexpensive. This is the Hasbro Commemorative Edition reissue. The mold isn't as accurate as it should be. His left foot doesn't open to the same height as his right foot. The left hand was mismolded which caused the peg, which holds the hand in the arm, to break. The black dot at the beginning of the video is that peg. It was molded ad a thin string of plastic to the hand, a pure factory inaccuracy mistake. I used to have the vintage version of Tracks, which I bought 2 decades ago, which had more solid, sturdier plastic and the mold was much more accurate. It seems that the reissues of today can't keep up with the quality standards of the 80's. Each and every vintage 80's Transformer of mine has the same thick, solid, rock-hard plastic and not the lightweight plastic of today's reissues.
Tracks has some episodes dedicated to him with his human friend Raoul. Tracks, Raoul and Blaster had some ghetto adventures when they fought off gangs.
Even though the Hasbro reissue of Tracks has it's flaws, he's still a very good-looking figure and I won the auction for only $16.50 so I'm still happy to own it.
Oh My God, I want your Tracks to man :P
