Suspended ceilings have come a long way from rice cake-looking panels supported by a metal frame. To show you how far suspended ceiling tiles have come and why they are so practical http://www.AsktheDecorator.com host Meghan Carter visited Armstrong to get a first-hand look at drop ceiling tiles.

  • No, not at all. But your comment is funny. When he mentioned basements being moist, I was genuinely interested. It made total sense. I was just a little shocked because I grew up in a basement so dry it practically sucked the moisture out of your lips when you went down there.

  • Very well done Meghan I'm impressed.Thanks

  • Thanks Bob! I appreciate that!

  • Hello there everyone especailly askthedecorator, i am a qualified ceiling fixer and if that was the big man armstrong i found that his interview was very poor, suspended ceilings are alot more then decoration and hiding cables ect, they save lifes in the modern world in tower blocks with there firesafty guard and installed firebarriers, they insulate heat and so much more i kind of think he put them down and yourself to what they really are and that is the future of home and buisnesses,

  • acoustic ceilings are the least expensive, most effective commercial form of multifactoral application, renovation and timely installation. noise reduction is secondary.

  • broadbest, where are you located? Can you install soundproofing ceilings that isolate footfall noise coming from my upstairs neighbor?

  • boardbest is right, Ceiling tiles are used for sound and fire rating not just a decorative touch.

  • Another Great Video! Seems like a lot of hard work but the end result looks Amazing!
