[2/3]Interviews @ 30th Anniversary of Khmer Resettlement in Ottawa

On June 26th 2010, the Cambodian Association of Ottawa Valley (CAOV) held an event to mark 30 years of commemoration since the day the first Cambodian families settled in the City.

In the summer of 1979, the first Cambodian families arrived to Ottawa through project 4000 and the Government sponsor program. We were greeted with welcome arms by a churches / private group of sponsors and Government officials. You provided us "a soft landing"in our plight from starvation, war, violence and political turmoil and assisted us to begin a new and wonderful life in Canada.
