I love this piece. For me (but it's just an opinion) it's maybe the nicest Improptu Schubert wrote.
It's broken into two parts. The first and the last are the same, with the exxeption of a shot close (a sort of "coda"): only one or two measures, but recollecting Musical Phrase at its end.
The Central Part is completely different: There is a change of Tonality (moving into D flat Dur),and the style is not by chords, but by "arpeggios", with the theme (chant) at the first finger of the right hand.
A progression of notes, leading, after a modulation in C sharp moll, to the initial theme in A Dur, and finally at the close, in "Pianissimo". But I prefer to close in "Forte" or in "Mezzo Forte".For me it's better to emphasize the tonality, giving the piece a serene close.
I hope you may enjoy my execution. I am not fully satisfied of this recording. I am satisfied of the first and the last part (I gave, I think, the right spirit of the Piece), but not of the Central Part, maybe with a "staccato" in the theme, not properly coping the spirit of the Piece.
I promise a better execution. But for this moment, I hope you may enjoy the piece the same.
For the recording, I used an Electronic Piano (Yamaha Clavinova Clp 123, dated 1993), and I recorded with a Digital Photocamera (Canon Power Shot A610, two years old. So the quality is not professional. But I hope it may that sound may be agreeable the same. If not, try to "imagine", listening the sound beyond the sound, and try to catch my intention to spread out a nice music, unveiled by the limits of my technological tool.
I encoded this piece using a Free Converter, moving the original "Avi" format into an "Mp4" one, a format easier to handle, and lighter. Audio encoding is 256 Kb.
I think you have to work a bit on this.
I'm quite sure you feel this great piece the right way, but the execution could still improve.
You could play almost everything with more calm.
I recommend that you listen to Daniel Beliavsky's rendition of the piece.
It's not perfect (I think the speed in the middle part is terrible), but it has a good calm in the first (and last) part that helps the listeners to understand this piece.
Don't give up your nice hobby, it's worth it.
