Photo montage of moms who have had their twins or triplets naturally (most were unmedicated and with as few interventions as possible), many against great odds! Dedicated to all the moms of multiples who gave their all and did everything they could for their babies, no matter whether their birth was vaginal or cesarean. All comments will be moderated; rude ones will be deleted.

**Youtube added ads to this without me knowing. I can promise you I get no money from this. Maybe it's going to the record company for the song I used?**

If you are expecting (or already have) twins, check out http://naturallyparentingtwins.net/wp... .

To answer a frequent question: The women are the races they are because I sent out a request for participation to all the natural parenting groups online I know of, and these were the ones who responded. There are likely other cultural factors-- ICTC (International Center for Traditional Childbearing) is a great resource for race and the history of birth choice access.

Also, I'm working on a sequel! Instructions for how to participate can be found at the Naturally Parenting Twins group on Facebook.

This video now has a sequel: http://youtu.be/0ghkA3WEq2E !!!

I'm curious, what is TITS? I've worked in regular ob/gyn and we only had a handful of twin pregnancies, so i'm not too familiar with all the terms referring to twin pregnancies. i've googled it but just comes up with breastfeeding info lol

I would never have a home birth with tripelets there is just so much that can go wrong and I would want to be at a hospital where I know they can get immediate care.

They had access to immediate care where they were. They had a full medical team and emergency transport (Paramedics in place should they be needed) at their home in the other room throughout the labor and birth. The only one who needed treatment from the EMTs was the husband (he needed a little oxygen!).

i watched this almost 3yrs ago now when i was pregnant with my twin boys ... i did not a c-section and everyone i told i was having twins said i would most likely have to have a c-sestion and i did not one after seeing horrible experiences with emergency c-sections and this encouraged me to try my best to have it my way in a natural birth and i did have a success natrural birth in an OR for just in case ...

Congrats! THIS is why I posted this video-- so that people can ask questions and be informed participants in their birth planning and at least have a CHANCE of the birth they want!

The other side of the issue is presented every day, on TV, in doctor's offices, and in comments from well-meaning but ill-informed friends and family. This wasn't made to be a balanced view; it was meant to be an encouragement to ask questions, learn more, and be an involved participant in your birth experience.

I had my twins (boy and girl) naturally at 37 weeks 3 days. I'm from the UK and they don't give you the option of c section with twins unless there is a medical need, which I think is great! Natural birth of twins is always preferred. The only downside is they try to push for induction at 38 weeks. I was prepared to refuse induction at 38 weeks but my babies arrived before then anyway :)

Damn video made me cry... I completely agree. All women should have the education and the freedom to be able to decide natural childbirth.. I don't understand why sex education is required whereas birth education is rare..

I had my twins without any interventions or drugs at 39 weeks, 5 days in a hospital setting. I was pressured into induction, an epidural, and a c-section just because they were "overdue" and they wanted to be "careful" but I refused and they came out at 7lbs, 2oz, and 6lbs, 10oz both very healthy 41 minutes apart. They nursed right away and never left my side. We went home the next day. I kept telling the hospital staff to chill out because it was too chaotic. :)

I love, love love this video!! This is one of the many beautiful videos on youtube I watched that inspired me to have a water birth 100% natural. I watched videos like this while trying to conceive and during pregnancy. Each one gave me the courage and drive to know that I could do it. I DID IT!! It was the most beautiful experience in the world! Thank you for sharing this video!
