The soloist back during that time sang out of their hearts and were not trying to impress or be stars...these recordings are still classics

This is Mattie's lovely and soulful arrangement of an old spiritual, led by Elder (then Brother) Charles Cotton. While perhaps not the most impressive of Mattie's soloists, he posesses a smooth, warm baritone capable of fine singing.
