On trial in Italy facing charges of rendition, the U.S. government did nothing to help American state department employees and CIA operatives. Now 23 of them have been convicted and threatened with extradition to Italy to serve their sentences. Cedric Moon talks to Mark Zaid, attorney for one of the convicted diplomats, about why the U.S. did not claim diplomatic immunity for them.

  • @labartic Dissent is American.

  • @Dedhedted71 "You won't die for a country thats run by $ & bankers but will you die saving it from them?" - yes because it effects our morals to be involved with unjust wars.

  • @shtonker8, Some Hawaians supported the US annexation. It is more complicated than you state, but it was a minority of Hawaians that did support the annexation. Yeah, Spain got booted out of Cuba & Cuba had its independence 2-years later, Puerto Rico also & PR continues to vote to remain a US Territory, & the Phillipines that became fully independent in the mid 20th Century but had much independence & autonomy before then under USA rule.

  • Black, yellow, green, red America STAND UP and start a MASSIVE clean-up.

  • This is nothing new for the US...taking a trip back in time....Hawai'i, that is the Kingdom of Hawai'i had treaties with the US and had a higher international standing that Canada at one point....when the 'ole US wanted it for their war with Spain just took it...annexed it with a joint resolution of congress and no treaty of annexation, and disregarded the Kingdom's citizen, both aboriginal Hawaiians and naturalized, and "stabbed them in the back".

  • @Dedhedted71 i agree vote the crooks out, i wish it were that easy. w/ the left/right paradigm, you got what is equivalent to professional wrestling. fake arguing while both get rich (rep. and dem.) also some questions about the diebold voting machines (big questions about bush's 2nd win). throw in the fact that only "establishment candidates" get any coverage from the media and the stupid sheeple vote for who they see on tv, and its hard to know where to begin. maybe wake people up.

  • the problem is by the time it goes to trial and she sues the US ,she will be sueing an empty pocket

  • lol so, they was up to know good anyway and USA will act like they didnt have nothing to do with them. punish them to the 1st degree. thats what we do in this country with spys. we act like our shit dont stank. we are the evil country. we are the terroist.

  • To be honest I don't know the exact answer I just know this

1 A revolution could end up actually putting the US back to its former glory which may fall again in the furture just like it has before or it fails miserably and it gets 10x worse where every freedom fighter is a terrorist and it ends up like a communist Russia.

2 Leaving is not an option.

The first step is that the armed forces and police have to stop supporting the "crooks" which I don't know how well that will work out if it does

  • "possibly" would be the correct spelling. Whats your answer then? Leave? Armed revolution? I would fight for MY COUNTRY before I will leave it. See when you fight for your country you are not fighting for the crooks who run the govmnt. There is a big difference. That is my whole point from the get go. You won't die for a country thats run by $ & bankers but will you die saving it from them?
