  • Can you tell me where you got and what parts you got to make your headlights HID? I have a black xt also but am suffering with the lame lights!

  • @vootronic

I buy all my HID stuff from manyadeal(dot)com. I'm currently running the 55w 5000k kit, but I don't think they offer the 5000k anymore, so I'd go with the 6000k.

  • You just put re-based bi-xenon bulbs in the oem reflectors? Because when using projectors, they bulb does not change, or move. A shield moves down to expose more light for the high beam.

  • @dariusreen106

Yes, re-based bulbs. The bulb is retractable for high-beam mode as the bulbs have small actuators on the rear of the bulb to pull the bulb back for high-beam. Yes, projectors are the best way to go, but retrofitting into stock reflectors (at least on the 03-05 Forester's works very well, little to no glare, and a nice flat beam pattern.

  • what's projectors did you use?

  • @taiden

No projectors, stock headlamps with retractable bi-xenon re-based HID bulbs.
