  • john looks really good, man hes such a good speaker, he gets his point across well.

  • Yeah, Zimbabwe etc have really free markets.....NOT!

I think you'll find Hong Kong, Singapore, Switzerland etc have the freest markets and that's why they always have strong sustainable economies.

  • John's right here.

But that's an inherent part of what life and America is about: promising people one thing while doing something else.

When it comes to markets, the US plays the porectionist game while encouraging and forcing other nations to opentheir markets up to free trade.

  • @BrettDunbar

    that's exactly what i said.

  • @BrettDunbar Oh my god. The animosity is strong with this one.

I understand your frustration. It can be tough when you believe you know the truth. I would counsel you to expand your sources of information, however. Then you may understand why I say what I say.

  • @rlvowell They're the MOST regulated market you fucking idiot. Look at china.

God how stupid and evil can you social engineers be?

  • @beelz3333 This!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @eirefrance THATS NOT WHAT THE FREE MARKET DOES YOU EVIL PIECE OF SHIT

THATS WHAT SOCIALISM AND KEYNESIANISM DOES YOU POVERTY CREATING EVIL CUNTRAG!!!!!!!

  • The title seems a bit misleading. Maybe I need a bit more context

  • Which country in particular are you suggesting I look at?

Most economic problems in third world countries have to do with the lack of law, where theft, fraud and violence goes unpunished, or huge state intervention(Zimbabwe), not "unregulated capitalism".

You seem to be suggesting that heavy taxation and regulation leads to prosperity and the lack of it leads to poverty. You can't possibly think this?

  • you realize that it's an ad hominem to make the argument that his ideas are invalid because he's a socialist right? free markets dont exist. unregulated capitalism does, however. i suggest you take a serious look at the 3rd world.

  • I know a lot about free markets and it's ridiculous for you to point me to a socialist philosophers opinion on the issue.

That's like me pointing you to John Stossel's opinion.

Again, things are troublesome for the working class precisely because the U.S has moved AWAY from free market capitalism, not because of free market capitalism itself. The collusion between big gov't/fed and big corporations has taken away fundamental tenets of capitalism leading to corporatism or socialism for the rich
