9 weeks old wild betta splendens F1 offspring feeding on baby daphnia.
The F1 male parent is a cross between a Wild Betta Splendens Male and a Copper HMPK Female.
This F1 male was then crossed with a female from a previous spawn of a Black Red Copper Dragon HMPK x Black Lace HMPK.

  • Thank you headgasket13. I got the wild betta from Aquarium Glaser. After posting several pictures in fora I got the confirmation that it was a truly wild specimen possibly from a northwest bangkok line. I ordered a pair but got 2 males instead.

  • Wonderful! Where did you acquire your breeding stock? I've heard it's difficult to find truly "wild" _B. splendens_, since so many domestic forms have been released into the native habitats.
