A Fight For Love Chapter 24 FINALE!

I felt a pare of strong, cold arms wrap around my waist and a chin rest on my shoulder.

Chapter 24

I turned, still in his grasp, and smiled up at Joe. "Hey baby."

"Hi sweetheart," he returned the smile. "What are you doing?"

"Mm, nothing." I said as I wrapped my arms around his neck. "Joe?"

"Hm?"

"Is it really over?"

"Is what really over," he asked.

"The fight, eveything, all the Rebels, gone?"

"Oh, that. Yes, Tina, it really is over. The Rebels are gone, and so I Garrett, thanks to you. Even though we killed them all, well, the army did, I was to buisy tracking, anyway, even though they are all dead, the Rebels will probably rise up again some day. After all, there is a little bit of rebel in each of us, and one only need to turn against all things right and love," he explanned.

"Oh, well, it is finished for us right? We continue our life here, in peace?"
Joe smiled and kissed my forehead, "most likely, you never know what might come at you."

"Well, I hope we can live here peacefully," I sighed.

"Me too, well I don't really care where we live, as long as I'm with you."
I smiled at him then let my arms drop from his neck. Turning in his arms again, I leaned back against his chest. "When was this painted?"

"Um, 1923 I think."

"Oh, well, you look very handsome," I giggled. "But, your eyes don't shine like they do now."

"That is because it was before I met you. You, Tina, make my eyes shine."

"Awe, really?"

"Really," he said as he kissed the top of my head."We need to get a new one done, of you and me."

I nodded. A painting of me and Joe, to last forever, showing our forbidden love and the fight for it we fought, along with the happy, magical years after to all who looked upon it. "Yeah, you and me, forever and ever in love." He smiled and kissed me, long and full of love. The first kiss of many to come.
