  • I like the one about phantom not guiding their lines, in the 1989 show... I've always thought the same thing. I guess that's why they got 2nd.

  • that is exactly why they got 2nd that year, such an awesome show but it's so painful to watch.

  • The 'No Vocal AMEN' is referring to the 1977 Garfield Cadets. The '77 Cadets closed with 'I Don't Know How To Love Him' from Jesus Christ Superstar, and the program ended with a sung 'Amen' before a sop solo. At Finals in Denver, they were ticked a full point because the rules at the time stated that no one except the DM could vocalize during a performance. That tick dropped them to 12th.

That's it. Nothing sinister, nothing atheistic, nothing to do with a pre-performance prayer.

  • @yman4444 2000 Methods of Madness.

  • lol, some are actually pretty funny

  • 0:02 Blue Devils 1999. Greatest year in DCI history.

  • the baritone to the right at 1:18 is my Band director.

  • @PogoPantheon As far as I know, at competitions you are not allowed to have ANY organized sound (singing, chanting, playing instruments) before their performance or it's a penalty. So apparently they got a penalty for saying "Amen" after a prayer or something.

  • @luke55698 If you are referring to 1:15, that is the Cadets...

  • 2:55?

  • our front ensemble director was in carolina crown......i must have a word with him....
