http://picasaweb.google.com/sarvenazdezvareh

This experimental project create and directed by Sarvenaz Dezvareh, master student of New Media, Art and Design for elective subject of Art management.
Rasfan Abu Kassim, master student of
Fine Art & Technology, Art and design participate in the project to make a team work as the painter.
The reason that team chosen in this form is based on talents, concepts, harmony of coworkers Rasfan and Sarvenaz as a team in this project.

Background and Idea:

The ideas for the hybrid performance derive from observation of the traditional world's shadow performances. Thus the performance involves the visual art of painting is suited to execute the idea and potential of light and shadow performance. What we intend to do is a dynamic experimental performance of the shadow puppets which will be replaced by life size dancer that will dance behind the canvas and from the cast shadow of the dancer the visual artists will trace and paint the gesture and movement of the dancer by the aim of capturing the beauty of dance movements.

This performance is ideally viewed from 360 degrees by the audience rather than the normal view where the audience sit statically in one position. With 360 degrees of view the audiences are invited to move and see the entire angle of the performances, as it's like they are invited to the studio work of artist.

The performance took place at the Auditorium the Faculty of Art and Design UiTM, 8.00 p.m on 3rd November 2007
