  • Does It Hurt While Using It ..?

    Please Answer :)

  • @MsJolieNana :

No. This is because you can adjust the light intensity to just a level you find comfortable. In order to become accustomed to the appliance, we recommend that you test it on your hip first. Start at the lowest recommended intensity and increase the intensity step by step, so you can work out the best intensity for you. You'll only feel a short warm sensation. Philips Lumea has been developed together with leading dermatologists and meets all home-use appliance safety regulations.

  • does it work for pubic hair as well?

  • @MsNouran123 :

Yes, Philips Lumea is safe and gentle enough for use on the entire bikini area (e.g. for ‘Brazilian’ or ‘Hollywood’ styles). On darker, more sensitive pigmented areas of the bikini-area, use a lower setting. The new Lumea Precision has an additional precision attachment with extra UV-filter and also works on extra sensitive areas such as the face, and is smaller for even more precise treatment e.g. of the bikini area.

  • what if you have really dark and tick hair on your legs also a lot of hair? Is it suitable?

  • @Suel14 :

Philips Lumea is most effective on darker hair, so should work perfectly for your darker hair (as long as you do not have an equally dark skin, skin type VI). It doesn't matter that the hair is thicker, it works on any body hair. IPL and laser treatments are not recommended for those whose body hair color is white, red, grey or light blond as it will not be as effective.

  • @psickoO :

Philips Lumea has been developed and designed with women’s needs in mind. From recent research we know that men could use Philips Lumea on most areas of the body, except the beard and scrotum, so you can expect also lasting smoothness on your chest or abdomen. Based on this knowledge, Philips has developed an IPL solution specifically for men recently, but this is currently only available in Spain.

  • @tumicheal2004 :

Lumea is one of the only light-based hair removal products that is suitable for skin types I-V. Skin type VI (very dark) is excluded, just like for a professional treatment. On the website you can find a skin assessment tool to help you determine if it will work for you. We recommend not to use Lumea on the face, as the face is delicate and deserves extra protection. Philips is working on a solution that takes special care of sensitive areas, such as the face.
