Corpus Christi & Sam Crawford in Rome on September 1, 2011, performing "King Kong Kitchee Kitchee Ki-Me O" (traditional) and "The Cyclone at Rye Cove" (The Carter Family).
-----
Bio: Corpus Christi is Cristina (Capputtini 'i lignu, TJ and the Lipstix) and Tina (Intellectuals, Cokerocket, TJ and the Lipstix, Felt Ups) taking a break from the wild wild world of punk and fooling around with their favorite traditional country and folk tunes. Guitars, tambourines, toy keyboards, kazoos, bones, whistles and whatnots are the tools of their handcrafting but it's the low pitch vocal harmonies the real trademark of this melancholic duo. In these recordings they have been joined by friend and great musician Sam Crawford (Goodwill Orchestra, Bowery Boy Blue), who picks his banjo and sings along in some tunes adding up to the impression of a cartoon-like Carter family of the new millennium.
