@jdavet79 Hey, nice review. I'm planning to get an Android tablet, and am looking for a video player that has playlists, like Act 1. But what do the transitions between videos on a playlist look like? I want a player with "clean" transitions -- an immediate jump from one video to the next (or maybe a short black screen). I don't want to see the player controls or anything else in between. What are the Act 1 transitions like?

@jimlmathis To be honest... that bug might be specific to your device. I was testing this on my tablet (samsung galaxy tab 10.1) and as long as I had the "Orientation of Video" set to "Automatic", both the video controls and the video would rotate based on the orientation the tablet was in. You might want to send an email to the developer... I haven't been in contact for a while, but in the past he was very responsive. I'm sorry I can't be of more help. Let me know how it goes. :)

i saw your review and noticed you were able to rotate your phone and the video would remain horizontal . when i set up this app and enable the g-sensor in my ainol nova 5 tablet and in the act1 app I am getting a different result . when i rotate my table the player controls rotate but the video playback does not . Do you know if there is something i can do to get this to work for me ? Is it a particular type video file , frame rate etc etc

Just downloaded the new update... and volume control is now a go... and it is a part of a new "Feature Menu" that shows up when pressing the bottom-right corner of the screen. Video Streaming support is also implemented in the 3.1 release. I plan on posting an update video in the near future with the new features.
i use a low end android device,Samsung Galaxy Fit (S5670).
Please tell me the best video format/resolution for this phone

@vaisakhthegreate IMHO I think you should just leaving Zoom setting at "Aspect" ratio. In order to check what your Zoom setting is, press the Menu button when you're on the Main Menu... select Preferences. Then select Video Display, then Zoom.
If you have any other issues, (starting to sound like a broken record) you can contact the developer. He is super responsive.

@FSN1977 Haven't tried this function. I will try it and see if it works. Your best bet is to send the dev an email. As I mentioned in another comment, every time I have contacted him, he has been totally responsive. I'll give you updates if I can make it work.

can this play avi files

@MarkC538 I don't know how I missed this comment... sorry for not answering. I think it has more to do with what your device can handle than with the app itself. But I can tell you that when I tried to play avi's on the Tab 10.1 in the Gallery app, the video didn't stretch to fit the screen. But when I played it with Act1, it stretched it out with no problem... but the video was just a teeny bit choppy though. Anyways, there's your answer. Sorry for the late answer.
