Go Horse Please tells the moving story of miracles created in Montana, in the Flathead Valley. Therapeutic horseback riding improves the quality of life for many in our community from the riders and their families to the therapists, volunteers, and other caring people who enter the barn at SAMS Riders. We are pleased to share our experiences with you and hope that you will be touched by this presentation.

My son benefitted from Horse Therapy; he was never supposed to walk or stand on his own. After five months on a horse, Jonathan stood and walked by himself...we believe that he learned from riding a horse how to balance.

It is stories like your son's that keep all of the volunteers and the therapists working as hard as they do to make horse therapy available in our community. The therapists in this program are absolutely incredible people, and their work, paired with the incredible healing power of a horse are what make miracles happen everyday in the barn.

How about a helmet for these kids? Basic safety folks.

We serve people who can't physically hold their head up off of their chest, and wearing a helmet would be detrimental to the therapy session, and could seriously injure them. So we use safety belts instead, and our volunteers are thoroughly trained in how to remove a person off of a horse in an emergency. In 18 years of operation we haven't had 1 accident or injury. So while our safety measures look different, they are just as effective, if not more so.
Thank you for your concern.
