How Radical New Interfaces Will Transform Consumer Product Experiences
Human-machine interaction is about to blow wide open. Multitouch devices and Wii remote controllers signal just the beginning of a world in which computers sense our presence — our movements, even our moods — and respond accordingly. Pair that with the emerging ability for technology to communicate with us beyond traditional displays — in 3D, with haptic feedback, or using nearby surfaces — and you have a brave new world of experience design about to dawn in devices far beyond computers. With demos and data, this keynote will answer these questions:

What radical advances in consumer experience will be reality this year?
How does consumer convenience dictate which advances will succeed and which will fail?
What will experience designers have to know to lead in these new areas rather than follow?
