"For my Mom" to let you know I'm allright." Ramadi Iraq 2006..1st Batallion 6th Marines

My son Cpl Nicholas Manoukian ("Manny")made this video for me on Oct.18th,2006 just 2 days before he was killed in Ramadi Iraq on Oct,21,2006. Nick's laptop computer arrived home 3 months later in Jan 2007.... I found the video he made for me only 2 days before his cherished life was taken away on Oct 21,2006..My son and only child Nick.wanted me to know that he was ok after his humvee hit an IED on Oct 9th 2006.He knew I was worried sick.I will NEVER understand why my son and his 4 Marine brothers were back out on patrol only 2 days later after suffering level 3 concussions.on OCt 9.As the video shows...the humvee was destroyed and all 5 passengers were unconscious from the blast.!! Why were they back out on duty so quickly??!
My son Nick (Manny) was Lt (now Captain)Dan Moran's radioman and was extremely proud of that.
.Along with Nick..2 other young Marine brothers were killed.Cpl Nathan Elrod and Cpl Clifford Collinsworth. I Love you and miss you more than life my son..Mom

I came across this on a random search I never comment but I want to say I am so sorry for your lose I was deployed with 1/6 Cco in ramadi I did not know your son personally but I knew alot of Marines in his platoon. I will never forget the Sacrifice your son and others made on that deployment. I wish I would have been able to know him. I know he looking down on all the military members still deployed keeping them safe so there family never feels the pain you did. God bless and thank you.

Your son was a true Patriot,I am an Indian born american citizien and hve few frnds in US Marines,We all proud on you and your sons . you are a mother of brave sons.He is a Martyr war hero and in heaven and watching all of us living in a peace.
