  • You know, I once played an organ at a YMCA camp I once camped at, and it was quite a challenge to play the keys and pedals at the same time! This guy, like most organists, must've practiced for quite a while.

  • @latribe - the thing about this instrument is that, like yours, it can be astonishingly effective - for a toaster. It still has this oddly artificial sound to it. TCWS should definitely still invest a million or two in a new pipe organ - or get the Detroit Ford Auditorium Aeolian-Skinner?

  • Can we have some info on the instrument and the church it is in.

  • Strange water sound in the background. Sounds like a urinal cistern. Strange place to put a microphone. However brilliant playing. Very precise and calm technique.

  • Fabulous!

  • Hi! I love Jeremy playing this . . . Search "Latrobian whirl" for another performance of this piece on a different instrument.

The energy of this performance is really astounding!

  • Absolutely brilliant! I've listened to this piece a hundred times since I was little, and hearing such an energetically powerful rendition evokes some funny memories. As well as a great performance, of course! ;D

  • Wonderful piece! Great performance - I love the rude trumpets - but perhaps the Moucherel Trumpets on the Hammerwood Park organ are ruder - hope he repeats the Sorcerer at Hammerwood in October. A great inspiration to all organists.

Thanks for posting it - whenever I hear it I can't stop listening.

However, I've just got to the chimes. . . . possibly a little obtrusive here. At Hammerwood we voiced them down for this . . . Worth coming to England for! :-)

  • LOL what in heavens name were you doing on YT at 4.30am - *rolls eyes* what am i to do with you!!!!!!

Yes i did enjoy it very much - infact listening again now :)
