  • Because it's the only appliable pattern here so that the hit notes will be G A B C D E F etc.

    Other patterns would hit different notes in that position.

    Just try the other patterns there and name the notes you're playing, you'll see there'll be flats and sharps in there.

  • hmmm...i dont get why the 3rd pattern is used for the key of the low G...why it cannot be the 1st or 2nd???
