  • Interesting.I have Singing The Blues On Reds followed by Flat Footed Woman on my copy on side one?Is interesting as your copy has the reverse track listing for the first two tracks, wondering what may be the reason there? If anyone has any additional info on the pressing releases for Roll Em'Somke Em Put Another Line Out please let me know.Classic Album, very happy to have finally tracked down a copy on vinyl. Thanks for posting on YouTube!!

  • @topofthepopsguy VERY interesting! A friend of mine found a copy of the album in a second hand shop which turned out to be an Australian pressing which didn't have "Mummy" on it!

  • The US branch of Island switched the order of the first two tracks around for some reason, it should be "FFW" followed by "STBOR." Makes MUCH more sense that way. And "Mummy" proved so controversial that the Australian branch elected to leave it off altogether.

  • we just named our band "Blues on Reds" lol

  • @topofthepopsguy

My CD copy (like the vinyl before it) has Flat Footed Woman followed by Singing The Blues On Reds (followed by Mummy)... When I play this on my PC using WMP, it lists the tracks the other way around but it is the listing that is wrong!! I am listening to Blues On Reds but WMP lists it as Mummy!! Fuktup, huh?

  • More on this classic album at The Ollie Halsall Archive site

  • got a little motown love on this one. as i'm listening to patto i'm noticing they love off rhythms, so it's an interesting rarity for them to play in straight four. this is a great band, man. i love how i keep getting older, but the music from these bands stays the same age.

  • Excellent post Man! I loved this album back in the 70's. Great video you put together for it as well... really takes me back.

  • Excellent video. Thanks Tony for sharing. Nadine:)

  • It's really hard to classify Patto. One can hear jazz, hard rock, R&B, jazz, comedy, and a little prog. The only band that I know that sounds vaguely like them is the Jeff Beck Group with Max Middleton singing. Ollie is a speed demon. I remember Musician magazine once comparing Van Halen's licks with that of Halsall's on their review of the album - 1984

  • I LOVE THIS SONG, THANK YOU TO WHO UPLOADED THIS, I HAD THIS ALBUM YEARS AGO, ALWAYS LOVED THIS SONG:)

  • @topofthepopsguy the US version has the "reversed tracks" running order and yes, apparently somebody decided the Aussies couldn't handle Mummy!
