After Selling Prescription Sunglasses for Ten Successive Years, HeavyGlare Outgrows Original Location

ST. PAUL, Minnesota, July, 2010 -- HeavyGlare today announced the move of its Minnesota retail store to its new location in Eagan, Minnesota. Building on its position as one of the leading companies in the prescription sunglasses industry, HeavyGlare moved to a larger, cutting-edge store to better serve both its local and Internet customers, and to better represent its technologically-advanced prescription sunglass products.

"Our customers worldwide participate in every type of adventure, from heli-skiing to professional motorcycle racing to simply exploring state parks or fishing local lakes," explained Grant Lambert, Founder and CEO of HeavyGlare. "Regardless of their chosen activity, they all come to us with the same need: precise, high-quality prescription sunglasses or prescription goggles that fit their individual personality and style...other retailers may tell them it's impossible to make 8 base prescription sunglasses but we get it done."

Although it may seem unusual that moving a store location would have an impact on a retailer's Internet sales, not in this instance. "Our new HeavyGlare location will create not only a unique in-store experience, but the move also afforded us the opportunity to upgrade our technologies, online ordering, manufacturing and shipping processes, making HeavyGlare.com even better," said Lambert. "We're always searching for ways to add greater quality to our products and services."

'Trusted Quality' Takes on New Meaning
A serious testament to that trusted quality is the company's status as a preferred provider to all branches of the U.S. Military -- where perfect vision is a necessity, not a luxury. After rigorous evaluations of value, quality and service, HeavyGlare was selected as a pre-approved contractor for all military servicemen and women, allowing direct online ordering of prescription suns by procurement agents. "We've even outfitted an entire brigade -- 2000 soldiers -- in less than 30 days so they'd have their prescription sunglasses in-hand before they shipped out. We're very proud to be able to help, and have the trust of, our men and women in uniform during these difficult times," Lambert stated.

Helping HeavyGlare attain the military's pre-approved status, as well as the fervent loyalty of their customers, is HeavyGlare's WrapBack lens engineering which allows virtually any prescription to be put into a curved lens. Known for solving complex prescription issues by using the most advanced lab technologies, HeavyGlare places the best distortion-free lenses available into even the most aggressively-styled Oakley prescription sunglasses and goggles -- both extreme favorites of servicemen and women.

Visible Difference in Price and Quality
Despite the extraordinary science involved, HeavyGlare's sheer volume of production allows customer prices remain on par with lesser-quality lenses. Lambert enthused, "Most people don't know what the amazing difference in vision can be if they've never had a high-quality lens in their prescription sunglasses. But with our prices being the same or often lower than those of local providers, we'll help them find out!"

About HeavyGlare
HeavyGlare, a division of Sunray Optical Inc of St. Paul, MN, was founded in 1999 as an e-commerce web site (HeavyGlare.com) intended to bring high-quality eyewear at competitive prices to customers around the world not adequately served by retailers in their communities. HeavyGlare's exceptional products, service and value combined with its No-Risk Guarantee to quickly launch it to the upper echelon of online prescription e-tailers. This success, along with customer demand, prompted the launch of bricks-and-mortar retail in 2000. In addition to its core prescription sunglass products, HeavyGlare offers a wide variety of non-sun, prescription eyewear and brand name, non-prescription sunglasses.
