I love this exchange! I used to play at the Living Room in the 90's. (yes, the later one), but I did a lot of under age drinking at the Rocket (later Babyhead, now Hell) before that. Punk days are long gone.
Last time I was there was around 1980-81 maybe. I used to see bands like Rash of Stabbings w/Carlotta Christy, DC Tenz, Rick Bellaire and Trouble. The place was a wiked dive and not meant for the timid! I loved it there and it's a place where I went on to book some of the acts that played there as a booking agent. Too bad GG Allin didn't perform there LOL He was the first act I ever booked into the Living Room. Talk about starting off like a BOOM! Owner Randy Hein (RIP) wanted to scap me! LOL
@rebelwalzt Pellands was on Manton Ave owned by Danny Pellend (rip) no longer with us. I was best friends with Danny's brother at age 15 when Danny was like 12- His dad ARAM owned PELLANDS LOUNGE for many years. I remember going there as a teen, way before bands, only Juke box, playing Beatles and Turtles LOL
Maybe the show sucked, but The Schemers did not suck! They were an excellent, very catchy punk-pop act that was one of Rhode Island's finast, with an actual following

@eieiowens ... it may have failed, but the bands on the show did not fail. Some great timeless clips came out of it.

This **** show was NOT 'Five All Night' it was the very lame 'Five All Night Live' an experiment by WCVB thank thankfully failed.
The real 'Five All Night' ended in 1980, so that they could air this turdfest!
The real 'Five All Night' was a great show!
This show sucked however!
