  • I'm gettting a camcorder with a mic input for just that reason. I can only really imagine going through the hassle of dubbing if I've shot a dialogue scene with a long lens and didn't want my mic in the shot..OR if the scene was shot in noisy or windy conditions that spoiled the original audio.

  • This seems kind of ridiculous. Why not just use a decent mic mounted on the camcorder itself? Any decent camcorder lets you connect an external mic. Perhaps I'm missing something.
