[BrawlHacks][MeowMix Guides] CSPs - Character Selection Portraits

Welcome to the Official MeowMix Guide.

This is the first in a series of MeowMix Video Tutorials for editing and modifying Super Smash Brothers Brawl. Team MeowMix is a dedicated team to modifying brawl to look good so you can enjoy yourself.

Today's lesson covers CSP Creation, also known as Character Selection Portrait. The character selection screen has images of the characters at the bottom of the screen once you've chosen somebody. We're going to teach you how to modify that image, making sure to have NO magenta borders around your images.

Before you begin, be sure you have measured up to the following:

-- Homebrew Channel Installed.
-- You have a .gct code sitting on your SD Card inside a folder named 'codes' that allows for SD file replacement. You can find that .gct as well as a tutorial here: http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=225642

Apparently you used Photoshop CS4.

I refuse to pay $700 just for a fancy image editing program...

Will the image instructions apply for GIMP, aswell?

Yes. However some names for certain actions are slightly different. I know of someone who is developing a similar guide for Gimp users - and we'll add it to our increasing playlist of guides on the MeowMix Channel when he's done.

Not really. Downloading pirated games is illegal.
