Nola and Dennis took me for a brief ride on their sailboat "Sublime". We motored from the boat yard on Lake Union through the Hiram M. Chittenden (Ballard) Locks, which connect Lake Union (fresh water), to Puget Sound (salt water). It's quite a process!

  • Scott...Great video! I worked at Marine Construction and Design (just east of the Locks) in 1981-82...we built the famous Marco King Crab boats (like the Northwestern on Deadliest Catch). Be fun to see a second video that shows the underwater viewing windows at the Locks (you can see salmon returning to spawn in season)...then, you could stop by the Totem House (due north of the Locks on 54th)...BEST FISH 'N CHIPS in Seattle. J
