Video showing how a pvc overflow works. Also shows cost and gph of each size of PVC. This is a great alternative to drilling your tank, or paying for an expensive hang on the back overflow.

  • Getting alot of air going into the overflow pipe why is this

  • @0987pops what do you mean by this? does it keep loosing siphon?

  • can the loop on the out side of the tank be lower then the loop in the tank as long as the 3 way ( T ) is still higher then both loops?

  • @TheOverlordglee yes, that should work as well.

  • Can you show a video wit the over flow in action.

  • @obleck2018 I have a complete video on how to put it together, how to start it, and i show it running. Check my other videos.

  • @slimo41 I have bought over flows, i have drill and plumbed my own aquariums, and i have built several types of overflows. they all work on the same principle, and on the same idea. This overflow works just like any other style.

  • well explained video, thanks.

  • Great work sir, thank you...

  • there is lots of air coming out of the cheak v it is like a small whirlpool going into the inlet

  • Hey superstar I built one for my 125 and it has a two way valve I also put it coming from underneath the tank with glass around it on the corner it's custom and looks great alot of work I am still building the tank but I will have videos up soon it has a custom all glass wet dry filtration to it's for my wolf cichlid

  • great video I built one also. one problem one time it stopped taking in water and I had to once again bleed air from the oneway valve any idea how to correct? I used 1 1/4 pvc worked fine last two weeks but had to restrat siphon last night as it started to overflow

  • for a 125 gallon, what diameter pvc would you recommend for the best most efficiente water flow and how many gallons should the pump be able to pump back into the tank? i have been watching your videos for a long time and i think i am finally going to build one of these for my 125 gallon.

  • this is great work keep us informed
