Hey guys,

Daniel Owens here from http://www.MMOGames.com and today I have something a bit different to what I normally upload here and on our official channel. Welcome to my EVE Online: Beginner's Guide that hopefully, will give new players a better understanding of the basic function of this incredibly difficult Sci-Fi MMOG.

Sorry about the mic in some parts guys, buy fancy Razer headphones and you would expect them to have a decent mic. Other than that, this is my first video i've actually spoken in on YouTube so feel free to let me know how horrible of a job I did ;)

@GEWinterswolf excellent :) also, what do the green, blue, yellow, and red squares above each player indicate?

They are basically indicators of who is friendly and who isn't, you can set them yourself but basically Green/Blue = Friends and Corporation/Alliance members. Yellow / Red = Enemy, pirate or someone you are at war with / in combat with.

When players start becoming pirates they lose security rating, so you will find these players will turn either yellow or red with a skull in the box.
