It's the difference between the technology then and the technology now. People can post their photos online, and those photos can be accessed by millions of internet users. If you are doing something illegal, you don't want proof. If you are looking a hot mess, why do you want to remember it? Why do you want the whole world to know about it? Sure, our parents did a lot but that was during a more experimental time as well. It was the spawn of the conformist 50's to the free wheelin' 60's.
