This family home (3600 Sq Ft) is located in a beautiful part of San Francisco on Chestnut Street right next to the stunning Presidio National Park and the gorgeous Marina. This area is filled with ocean beach and forest trails, wonderful shops, world-renown restaurants/bars (both casual and formal) and all types of sports/entertainment activities.
The newly renovated home features a prominent view of the Palace of Fine Arts from virtually every room plus a view of the Golden Gate Bridge and the Palace of Fine Arts from the Master Bedroom.
All the rooms on the main floor flow into one another with open areas that ultimately open onto the large tiled deck with relaxing lounge, gas BBQ and prominent views. The comfortable living room features a wood-burning fireplace and the formal dining room has ample room for 10 people. A stylish family room, Tuscan-style kitchen and powder room finish off this floor.
The deck provides access to the private garden with fire pit, water feature, and heated sitting area along with a heated game room. In addition, on the downstairs level, there is an office, laundry, and media room with large flat screen and surround sound.
In the media room, you will enjoy Wii games, Netflix and cable. A cozy couch folds out to a queen bed. A zen-like bathroom with shower rounds out the room.
On the upper floor, there are three bedrooms with a king, queen and bunk beds respectively and three baths each with heated floors. The master bedroom has a sitting area and fireplace plus a bath with jacuzzi tub and full view. The second bedroom has a view and comfortable desk plus bath with skylight and rainshower. The third bedroom is great for kids with bunk beds and full bath.
We also have parking available for one car.
This spacious, three-story, architect-designed and elegantly-furnished house is our private home when we are not traveling. It is located in one of the most desirable San Francisco neighborhoods and is the perfect short-term residence for professionals, corporate executives, or vacationers.
This is an ideal location for couples, families or friends who are also interested in nearby activities such as: golf, sailing, walking or riding bikes (two adult and one kid bike included) to the Golden Gate Bridge, Pier 39 tourist area, Exploratorium, Disney Family Museum, Presidio Bowling, or Sausalito.
There is so much to do in this area and with easy access to Marin, Napa and Sonoma too. Carmel and Monterey are just two hours away and Lake Tahoe and Yosemite National Park are four hours away.
When you compare these rates with a hotel, remember to add both the 14% San Francisco hotel tax and the 8.5% sales tax to the rate quoted by the hotel. Many San Francisco visitors don't realize all the taxes involved until they see their final bill.
