Hi; Nice tune! I have thousands of xylophone and marimba 78 rpm recordings - so in some parts of the world they're not that rare! I even have a couple of Octarimba records, and even Marimbaphone!

Growing up in Guatemala (Chiquimula)I used to listen to marimba music live and on the radio... and they would always play something by Marimba de los Hermanos Hurtado. I always enjoyed it.

where did you find that picture at the very beginning. the hurtado brothers are actually my great great uncles and I know my family has been looking for more pictures.

@StephInSD619 I can no longer find the wedsite that had that picture but a found a copy on an old back up, i can send it you if you would like.

How did you find this recording? It would be very interesting to remaster such a jewel to digital format.
