Sah-weet! Youtube lets me upload videos longer than 15 minutes. That would have been incredibly good to know before I cut this bad boy up.

Here's the last half hour of my Photoshop portrait painting process video. I didn't speed this one up as much as usual (4 hours compressed to 1) so that you guys could get a better idea of what I'm doing. Hope it's not too incredibly boring!

4 hours / Adobe Photoshop CS5 / Wacom Cintiq

  • You must be a very patient person, to be able to make this great art, to comment properly in all you videos, make these videos;which are great because your comments are so informative. You must also be a great teacher. Not to mention to upload these videos in Youtube, must take forever. I applaud you.

  • @enemay my boyfriend would tell you I'm not very patient, but thanks so much for saying so! I really appreciate it ^_^

  • You kept saying that you used a picture set in black and white for the overlying texture. Did you mean grayscale? I thought black and white turns things literally black and white, and looses a lot of detail. Or does it create a different effect?

  • @Sarandib22 instead of changing the image to grayscale in it's own file, you can pull the texture over and go to Image > Adjustments > Black & White (Opt+Shift+Cmd+B) to make the layer grayscale - you can even add filters and tints.

  • where do I download the brush set?? I can't find it on the link

  • @lelomagal It's in the artist's gallery. I added the direct link to the brush pack zip file download, but I still recommend checking out his gallery - it's pretty amazing.
