Holy Light, the great miracle of Orthodoxy

Every Holy Saturday (Saturday of the Holy Week) at noon in the church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem recurs the GREAT MIRACLE OF THE HOLY LIGHT (or holy fire, άγιο φως in greek) that stirs, affects rejoices and gives delight and faith to those who have the honour and blessing to be there for the ceremony of the Holy Light.

I here that you can only use the candles that the church gives out? is that true? can you bring your own candles and get the holy light and if yes, will it burn you?

The Orthodox Church is the only Church that has remained true to the Canons, the Apostolic Tradition of the Church Fathers and the Seven Ecumenical Councils. This miracle further validates the fact that the Orthodox Church is the True Church.

Phosphorus again can do this but the burns would tell the tale. No this is not a sham. They try and prove that it is every year. Israeli guards search thoroughly to make sure that there is no way this could happen and yet every year it does. So far this cannot be explained by science. Christ is Risen! Indeed He is risen!

@Moonchild091 Dude... just stop. First off, your post seems to be written by a 10 year old. Second phosphorous is the catalyst for the reaction. As you probably are unaware of or at least do not want to hear, your "miracle" is easily debunked by logic and chemistry. 1 Nobody holds the fire on themselves for an extended period of time. 2. The initial candle lights the other ones. The phosphorous isn't transferred and thus no burns. So if you want to be a better retard, educate yourself first.

this is good evidence of a miracle. But miracles I love is when a sinner comes to Jesus, Somebody get's healed of sickness, and demons are casted out of possessed people. those are the best miracles.

So let me get this straight: We are to take their word that the tomb is checked completely, but we aren't allowed to go inside? We are to take their word that they searched the patriarch, but we aren't allowed to watch? We are to take their word that the fire is lit by god but we aren't allowed into the tomb to witness this? There is no explanation for how the candle is lit because NOBODY BESIDES ONE OLD MAN WATCHES IT! HOW HARD IS THIS TO UNDERSTAND?
