i had a jumo that was the dogs knackers
it was custom made as a test lol
it was a superstar 3900 innards
with a magnum deltaforce audio and echo unit, a liner producing 100w on fm and about 30 rodger bleeps
im looking for it again to buy it back

I used to have a stalker xx homebase 80ch and a starduster, worked some great dx back in the day on 12w. Today i have a ft990 and a ft847, i still listen on 27.555usb just to see what is about in the hope that 10m will open. 73s

10m is great when conditions are good, I love working that 10m repeater in Switzerland when its open... Just need to find a FM Board for my FT-840 now.. :-/

from 1983-1988 a lived for the triple nickle, ham jumbos are fetching around 250 quid on ebay, ive got a stalker 10homebase with legal 40 and midblock still working fine, a midland 76-900 homebase, harrier cbhq homebase, audioline pt79 homebase, and about a dozen car rigs, have not used any in 10 years

555 is great when the conditions are right, but I would reccomened taking the foundation ham license and then with your 10 watts on HF you can work the world conditions or not.. ;-)
