He's got a point about much of CNN being fluff, but you have to admit that their primetime programming, especially and specifically Anderson Cooper's program, is fairly honest and substantial. FNC wants to tell the news from a Republican sensationalist perspective, MSNBC from the Democratic, and CNN from the daytime soap opera addict's.

@AudioForAnarchists: I'd venture to go up to 130Hz, and maybe cut some Mids too, it'll probably make it a little more pleasant on the ears. idk about the reverb though.

In Final Cut Pro, Compressor / Limiter filter generally I set the ratio to 3, DB Threshold to -25 and I'm good to go. Click the preserve volume if I need to raise audio, but I usually use gain instead.

@psynema a limiter is a type of compressor... that would work too, but a limiter would make it as loud as possible, whereas a compressor would improve the overall consistency more... A limiter is basically a really strong compressor.

Hi, I'm an audio engineer and I notice there are alot of complaints about the audio. There are three obvious things that would make it better:
1. Use a compressor - when Cenk speaks loudly it distorts, a compressors will fix that
2. EQ - filter out frequencies over 17KHz and under 100Hz
3. Reverb - adding a very small amount of reverb will make everything softer.
