This is an all violin rendition of Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean" using the DigiTech JamMan Stereo looper. I used the Morpheus Drop Tune pedal for the bass lines and the ModTone Funk Filter for the guitar parts. The violin is an NS Design CR5.

  • Well, the tune's a bit passe' - but this is GREAT!

Does the Morpheus Drop Tune pedal introduce any noticeable latency?

  • @cableaddict Sorry we missed your question. The answer is, no not really. That's part of what is so great about the Morpheus! That and the extremely accurate timbre reproduction at lower pitches.

  • @violinslut Yes, the chord change and bridge were prerecorded and stored in adjacent banks on the looper, but still all violin.

  • No wait a minute - you recorded the beginning looped phrase live as you started the song, but you have other bits you are kicking in at the end of the phrases where the chords change... you pre-recorded those, right?

  • good job! keep it up!
