I bought a set of mCX upper blades ($2.99) and customized them to fit into the mSR blade grips. I used the mSR blade as a template and cut the mCX blade accordingly. I used a screw from an sg-90 servo to make the holes for the blade grip screw. I just marked the blade and heated up the screw with a lighter and pushed it through. Then I used a dremmel to clean up the edges and to clean up the slag around the hole that I melted through.

  • LOL ya Chris I did see your video .... this is pretty Slick!!! I wish I still had my MSR... You should try this with your 450!! Looks like you have the hang of it..... and if you're high enough you'll be able to bail out... I'm still flying FBL with my Belt CP. Getting really comfortable with it..... So let's see that 450 inverted!!! lol.... great video..

  • @erwin15erwin You'll be seeing some inverted on the 450 pretty soon. I just gotta get comfortable with the mSR first!!

  • which controls are backwards? elevator?rudder?aileron?

  • @YourFriendlyMe In the radio I only reversed the throttle. As far as how the other controls work? Rudder is always reversed when inverted. Nose-in inverted: aileron is reversed. Tail-in Inverted: elevator is reversed.

  • Hi Cj,

just to check with you what do you have to mod on the upper MCx blade for this..

I just bough a pair of it..

thanks for sharing.. this is really cool...

  • Your doing it man! I just bought my second MSR on Saturday for just that purpose to learn nose in and eventully invert. Ditto on the stakes being not as high as a 450. I think I've crashed my MSR 20 times so far and you would never know it. Great training tool, stay cool bro.
