Yo! We're mixing things up a bit by taking it out of the studio and into.... Eric's apartment? Different look, different space. And we tackle those films our film professors and critics have been telling us are CLASSIC! Citizen Kane, Vertigo, musty Merchant-Ivory flicks, Casablanca and much more.

  • Are you guys planning on a Hitchcock show?

  • Yes, it's in the works.

  • How 'bout: Best noir films?

    Double Indemnity

    The Big Sleep

    Chinatown

    Blood Simple and Miller's Crossing

What's the Hoskins movie "The long Friday"? Never seen it; been going out've my mind lookin for it.

L.A. Confidential. (worked for me, best of the Ellroy adaptations, considering he writes like a broken staccato machine...if those exist)

    Usual Suspects, etc, etc

Sure there are a host y'all can come up with as well.

    Peace

  • We actually talk about Long Good Friday on our UK Gangster Flick ep. Check it out.

  • It baffles me that a major network hasn't picked this show up yet! Great host, great panel, great topics of conversation, and of course amazing insight into the films being discussed.

Not only do I find the show extremely entertaining, but i've also gained a wealth of knowledge both of films and how to properly discuss them when need be just from watching/listening. Thanks alot guys, and keep up the great work. The show rules!

  • As usual, it was a highly entertaining show. Keep it up guys. You defintitely have earned a certain fan base by now. I look forward to future episodes.

  • What i love about Jeff is that hes much more open minded than the others and is not biased. and he wont bitch about a movie before he sees it.

  • Wheres Danny Peary?

  • I agree about Vertigo / The Graduate conversation. I enjoyed The Graduate, but I absolutely love Hitchcock, and until about a couple of years ago when I saw Rebecca, Vertigo was my favorite Hitchcock film. Hitchcock is one of my favorite directors of all time.

I am not as schooled on films and directors as you guys, but while I can name the director of Vertigo, I couldn't name the director of The Graduate off the top of my head.

  • More strange comments about the Long Good Friday very fine ending if you really believe that one gangster is going to take on the entire IRA come on, he is presented as a very reasonable gangster not nutty as Hitler, in fact Hitler might have balked at the IRA. Otherwise LGF is a very fine piece of work and a great ending...but if any of you with a handful of men would take on the IRA you would need a nuclear device and decent delivery system

  • @nookie077 >> Probably has Eric's best line ever: "Fuck it!! I'm bringing the Pigs in a Blanket over!"

  • Why didn't you eat, or even try, Jeff's mom's sandwiches you ungrateful lot? is Eric the only one with manners?

  • i love casablanca.

  • Hollywood is dominated my Jews and Jewish friendly movies were always made
