10 Meter Band Opening: New York Linked Repeater System

This system came in almost consistently at 60 over 9, the strongest signal strength any station can ever have. Through - out the day, stations from all over the country checked in. There was even one Canadian station. This system is found on 29.600.00 with the input at 29.520.00, PL tone of 192.8, linked to repeaters on 6 Meters, 2 Meters, 1.25 Meters, 70 CM, 33 CM, and 23 CM.

For those who have yet to become Amateur Radio Operators, and for those who have never seen a 10 Meter opening...this is what it's like. Very cool! 10 Meter SSB was even wide open to Europe today. Today's 10 Meter opening was said to be the best in a very long time.

how could that be linked to uhf, if technician ham class, cannot operate on 10 meters FM??? even trhough 2 meter linked to 10 meter fm? i dont get it... :(

I at one time had one of these repeaters come in on my rubber ducky antenna on my scanner but not very often

I heard Spain and France on Friday on 10 meters. I also heard stations in 1,2,3,4 and 5 land. I made contacts to FL and Canada. I wish 10 was like this all the time.
