Oil City Confidential is Julien Temple's last film in his trilogy on British music of the 1970's. It is a prequel to his landmark films about punk figureheads the Sex Pistols in The Filth & The Fury, Joe Strummer in The Future Is Unwritten and focuses on Canvey Island band Dr Feelgood. btw. if you didn't know already the full movie is on the BBC i-player at the moment. it's available unitil 1am saturday (if you are in UK!). it's really good, for lots of different reasons. brilliant!

@chimpo3003 Yeah, i know that's how Temple films, and it's a shame isn't it?

When the subject of the film is distracted by the person supposedly presenting it, then perhaps it's Temple presenting Temple instead of the Feelgoods?!

I think Temple ALMOST did a good job and i think a LOT of people could have done a LOT better job of it.

If you can get to Bath, UK on 16 November, the Bath Film Festival are screening OIL CITY CONFIDENTIAL, Julien Temple's terrific documentary about Dr Feelgood, followed by a live performance by The Wilko Johnson Band. Happening at Komedia in Bath. Unmissable!

Don't know how much footage was shot, only that the dvd was same as original video - apart from the "bonus" sections. Leaves you wanting more, though.
