This is just great. Wilko is a legend!

Fantastic* But that doesn't quite cover it, it was one of the best i've seen! Especially when Wilko Johnson came in HIMSELF!

Huge fan of Dr Feelgood!! Gotta see this.

@snackleforkofemir I was blown away by this when they showed it on BBC 3 or 4 but maybe you're right and there is a better film to be made about Dr Feelgood, after all the best thing in it was Wilko Johnson with or without a guitar he was hilarious, mesmerising and genius maybe more Wilko and less film clips though I enjoyed them in context and also the background history on Canvey.

when is oil city confidential coming out!
-
@chimpo3003 Yeah, i know that's how Temple films, and it's a shame isn't it?
When the subject of the film is distracted by the person supposedly presenting it, then perhaps it's Temple presenting Temple instead of the Feelgoods?!
I think Temple ALMOST did a good job and i think a LOT of people could have done a LOT better job of it.
An opportunity missed!

If you can get to Bath, UK on 16 November, the Bath Film Festival are screening OIL CITY CONFIDENTIAL, Julien Temple's terrific documentary about Dr Feelgood, followed by a live performance by The Wilko Johnson Band. Happening at Komedia in Bath. Unmissable!

@oldportboy Don't know how much footage was shot, only that the dvd was same as original video - apart from the "bonus" sections. Leaves you wanting more, though.

The first batch of DVDs must of been recalled. Mine was official and the signatures don't read.

WE all know those excerpts blips are from Robbery & Payroll.

@snackleforkofemir Yeah, that's about it..... Some guys' goddit...and some guys don't.

Ahh, the guitar solo in "I'm A Hog For You Baby"!!
I've played that to SO many people as an example of THE guitar solo!! .... and i've decided that the world is comprised of two sorts - those that "get" it ........... and everybody else!!
By the way, i was at The Feelgoods show at Aylesbury Friars (the show they released one side of the "Stupidity" free 7" single from) that's my jaw you can hear hitting the floor!
Lol!
Just gotta love the Feelgoods!
I hope it'll come out on DVD. Love the picture of young Lee playing with his punch and judy by the look of it.
