Being as my new camera handles bells a lot better than my old one, I decided to re-record my Simplex bell vids. Here's the first one, which is continuous.

  • Ah, the sound of my childhood. The ones I remember had the black circular simplex logo right in the centre and did not have a strobe. Awesome, distinct, powerful sound.

  • @StopDropandLOL The Simplex bells (and similiar rebranded models) are my favorite. Unfortunately they're no longer produced...

  • Do you have any hydraulic bells?

  • @douro20 If you mean sprinkler bells, no.

  • I wonder why most of these Faraday bells almost always sound the same. The two functional outdoor bells at the K-8 school I had kindergarten at sound EXACTLY like this.

  • These bells remind me of my middle school days too many malfunctions back in those days

  • @simplexalarms Those used to be in the school I attended. Now there are fire horns in the school these days.

  • @weatherdan882002 The ones in your collection are my favourite in particular. The later ones that Simplex produced were very bright red, as if it was painted to steel. The ones I remember were rich almost burgandy in colour, looking as if it was powdercoated onto iron. Were the older ones iron bells? Or is that just an effect of the paint?

  • Ah yes, the -9333 in continuous. Reminds me of elementary school
