You just know this guy gets all the ladies. I'm a straight guy and even I'd do him.

I'm not quite convinced by the 'clean cello' sound... I kinda feel it still sounds 'too electronic'... But maybe it's just the recording or something...

@Fyrged With frets, you won't have to worry about memorizing where to put your fingers on the fingerboard. Fretless is the opposite- you have to memorize where to put your fingers. I want a fretless six string Cobra, I don't know what color yet, but I know I won't be getting one for some time.

@TheMikevirus cello prelude no. 1 by bach
-
Just wondering, would you suggest *some* experience with other instruments, such as the bass, viola, violin, etc. before purchasing the product, or would you say being proficient in the cello would be enough?
-
@TheMikevirus It's Bach's prelude to suite #1, I'm learning it on my cello right now :)
-
give one of these to apocalyptica... let them strike the world in awe!
-
Hey, how much does the one with the frets and 6 strings cost?
-
anyone know the name of the last song that plays
-
just looks like a cool looking guitar put vertical on a strap with a cello bow.. but dont get me wrong looks and sounds awesome. youre good

@woutertron I wouldn't doubt that. Even the ones that are musically inclined are likely to be swooned. He's quite pleasant.

@armadillo616 I have actually had the honor to play one myself. It does sound quite a bit different via YT because of the sound quality in the video. They actually sound a lot like a cello in real life. Sounds like an acoustic that just has a pick up on it. But the nice thing about Cobras is the fact that you can get so many different sounds and effects from them. :)

@miniazn212 They are very competitively priced, considering they are custom-built to order, by hand, right here in the USA. If you're interested in pricing, message us.

I can't find any shops nearby that stock these, nor the violins. I am very interested how the frets actually work. Mark Wood talks about being able to slide and play in between the frets. It seemed that there was a "glissando" that was fairly fretless in sound in the beginning--though I did detect some jumps.
The cello, at least in this recording, sounds pretty muddy below the G string. It doesn't sound as good as an acoustic in that range. The higher strings sounded pretty good.

@vibratingstring The Cobras come in such a wide variety of configurations that it's hard for our dealers to keep them all in stock; however, they can be special-ordered from anyone. As for this recording, it was very "guerilla" and was done that way on purpose. Just a mike in front of an amp. Please message me with your email address and I'll be happy to help you with any other Cobra questions you may have!
