@TotalGreenGeo - I appreciate your video in a *major* way and I will promote your solution to my Google+ community. I love the fact that your solution for heating and cooling a home reminds me of the "Thermal Mass" concept which is used to provide heating and cooling within an Earthship.

But 53F = 11.5 Celsius, that's not warm!

What is the phase change material (refrigerant) used? Naptha?
What is the lifespan of the pipes? Are anodes used to prevent electrolysis?
Thanks! Neat system.

The phase change material is R407C refrigerant. The lifespane of the pipes are 50 to 200 years. Keep in mind most muncipal water systems use a cast iron main at the street and unprotected copper pipes buried 36 inches below the ground. These systems have been in use since the turn of the 20th Century. Total Green's Geothermals systems are fully protected (needed or not) with magnesium anodes. Thank you for your interests....And yes, our clients think the system is neat also.

Due to this system in lieu of water to refrigerant heat exchange - What's the most common problems? Sorry to discuss problems but the system looks great otherwise
tophat1995 1 year ago
@tophat1995 - Sorry for the delay in response. The most common problem is due to inexperienced designers and installers. The DX system is virtually maintenance free. It requires one less mechanical device (no water pump is required with refrigerant heat exchange) therefore, only one heat transfer cycle rather than two required of water based systems. Thank you.

The response to the DX Geothermal presentation has been overwhelming. We're please to provide an effective way to view and learn more about Renewable Energy and contributing to ending Global Warming.
