u could have made a metal plate like in the exotic cars and that should have fixed your problem......at least the shifter didnt move like that.

i finally found out what the issue was with mine, the "retarded" previous owner thought that by cutting the shifter it makes it a short shift, so my shift pattern was all screwed up, 5th is in the middle where 3rd should be, so when i put it into 1st, it was too far over and it pops out, had to replace the whole shifter mech.

mine does the same thing and it also pops out of first gear when you let off the gas

it could just be your gear shift head. take off your boot and check to make sure that the sttel bar on the inside isnt broken , cause it could be just really loose and its only getting out iin gear because the knob is stuck on it. but check to make sure your whole shift rode is connected
